re·la·tion·ship

"When your friend posts something and you get to engage with it, it might inform you and entertain you. But you also, if you interact with it, you're building a relationship with that person or you feel closer to that person, and that is a really important part of what social networking is supposed to do.”  ~Mark Zuckerberg

re·la·tion·ship
noun
the way in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected, or the state of being connected.
synonyms:    connection, relation, association, link, correlation, correspondence, parallel, alliance, bond, interrelation, interconnection

I suppose Mark’s definition of a relationship is accurate if you confine the action to a database but I fail to see how interacting with a post on Facebook translates to a relationship in real life.
